This summer… Do yoga. Make a difference.

From 3 July to 2 September, Yoga School Rotterdam will host an Ashtanga Yoga summer intensive with Certified teacher Luke Jordan, and Level II Authorised teacher Sonja Radvila.

This is an opportunity to dive deep into the traditional practise of Ashtanga Yoga as it was taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore and continues to be taught by Sharath Jois.

This course is designed for those ready to commit to the experience and experiment of daily practise. Spaces are limited and are available upon application. All levels of practitioner, from beginner to advanced, are welcome to apply.

Students are offered the opportunity to apply for blocks of 2 weeks/4 weeks/6 weeks or the whole 2 month period and, if accepted, should commit to attending all allotted classes. Classes will begin at 6am on weekdays and 8.30am on Sundays. There will be no classes on Saturdays or Moon Days and classes will be ‘Mysore style‘.

Payment will be by donation. By leaving the financial component up to you, up to trust, we can get on with the job of sharing the yoga practise in its purest and most traditional form.

We pledge at least 20% of all donations to charitable causes who will directly use the monies to help people in need.

Our hope is not only to offset the monetarisation and commercialisation of yoga that is so prevalent in Yoga in the West but also to make an actual difference. We call this “Yogavism” – using yoga to facilitate social change.

We hope that you truly benefit from what we have to offer and we hope that you, in return, offer what you feel the experience and teachings were genuinely worth to you
